Showers and thunderstorms return to central Wisconsin throughout Thursday morning and afternoon, as gusty southeast winds help to usher in higher humidity for the day.

We will continue with the storm threat into our Wednesday and Thursday forecast. The severe weather activity lies much more concentrated to the west rather than within our viewing area. We still see a marginal risk for severe storms developing Wednesday and Thursday with the main threats of damaging winds and hail. Which means some of the storm cells may produce winds of 50+ mph with hail the size of quarters in diameter or larger. As we will see the potential for rain Tuesday through Thursday, there is another round of flooding concerns. Within the three day span many areas have the potential to pick up 1″ to 2″ of rainfall.
